What are the operating hours of Kochi Metro?

Kochi Metro runs Monday to Saturday from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Sundays from 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM, and public holidays from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Peak-hour frequency is roughly one train every 7 minutes.

How much does a Kochi Metro ticket cost?

Single-journey fares range from ₹10 to ₹60 depending on the distance. You can buy paper tickets at station counters or use the rechargeable Kochi1 smart card, which also works on KSRTC city buses and Kochi Water Metro.

How do I get from Cochin International Airport (CIAL) to Kochi city by metro?

Take the dedicated Airport Feeder bus from CIAL to Aluva Metro Station (₹80, runs every 20–40 minutes from 06:45 to 23:15). From Aluva, the metro reaches MG Road, Vyttila and Thrippunithura.

Does Kochi Metro connect with Kochi Water Metro?

Yes. The Kochi Water Metro at Vyttila Hub and Kakkanad shares the same Kochi1 smart-card system as the metro. Water Metro ferries connect Kochi mainland with islands such as Vypin, Bolgatty, Mulavukad and Fort Kochi.
