- Open Google Maps, enter your origin and destination, and select the train icon (🚆) to see available train routes, timings, and durations.
🎫 How to book train tickets:
- Book through Indian Railway's official site — irctc.co.in. You can search for available tickets without logging in, but you need to register and login to book tickets.
- The OTP for registration should work on your international phone number as well.
- You can use your international credit or debit card to book train tickets.
- You can also buy a ticket at the train station counter, though seat availability is not guaranteed.
💺 Recommended travel classes:
🔍 Search Trains on IRCTC- 1st AC (1A) or 2nd AC (2A) — the most convenient and comfortable travel with air conditioning, berths, and privacy.
- AC Chair Car (CC) — good for shorter day journeys.
- 2nd Class Sleeper (SL) — a budget-friendly option if AC classes are not available. No air conditioning but you get a reserved berth.
- ⚠️ General Compartment is not recommended — you don't have a guaranteed seat, and often you will be left standing without a seat.
