Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, in the Palakkad district, is one of the best-protected forest ecosystems in the Western Ghats, lying between the Anamalai Hills and the Nelliampathy Hills. The reserve is rich in wildlife, including tigers, elephants, gaur, and a wide variety of birds, and is home to the famous Kannimara teak, one of the oldest and largest teak trees in Asia.

Run by the Forest Department, the ecotourism program offers tented and tree-house stays, jungle safaris, bamboo rafting, trekking, and bird-watching, giving visitors an immersive wilderness experience.

About this experience

Honeycomb is a small building complex which was designed as a Hostel during construction of dams in Parambikulam in the 1960s. Subsequently the facility was upcycled for tourism purposes. Food will be served in a common dining space. Each rooms in outfitted with Air Conditioning and attached bathrooms.The package includes Safari, Food, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking/Bird Watching. The visitors will be accompanied by trained naturalists employed by Parambikulam Tiger Conservation Foundation. All proceeds from the program is recycled to remunerate them and for conservation and upgradation of the Tiger Reserve

* Check-in to be completed by 12:00 PM

* Lunch will be served at 01:00 PM

* Safari will commence at 02:30 PM

* Bamboo Rafting will commence at 04:45 PM

* Return to camp by 06:00 PM

* Dinner served at 07:30 PM

* Tea will be served at 06:30 AM on the subsequent day

* Trekking/Bird-watching commences at 07:00 AM

* Breakfast served at 08:30 AM

* Checkout by 10:30 AM

Tented Niche

About this experience

Tented Niche accommodations are Canvas Tents with attached bathrooms (with masonry walls and fittings) complete with a sit-out to unwind and breathe in the surrounding forests.

Food will be served freshly prepared in the Tent Bhojanashala.

The tents are located in the Anappady campus which can be freely explored by the guests and you may even chance upon a herd of spotted deers or peacocks.

The package includes Safari, Food, Bamboo Rafting, Trekking/Bird Watching
