A Closer Observation of Nature The Athirappilly – Vazhachal Trekking, which the Forest Department is currently offering, gives visitors a chance to get up close and personal with the area’s biodiversity and take in the alluring beauty of the forest. The Peringalkuth – Karamthod trip, an ecotourism project, offers an experience unlike any other.
Starting at 8 am, the 12-kilometer trip departs from the Vazhachal forest office. In order to enjoy the ride, adventurers can choose to use a forest department vehicle or walk the full trail. The group is accompanied by forest officials and experienced guides who provide safety and impart their local knowledge. Skilled tribal guides who are well-versed in the subtleties of the area will also accompany you. Up to eight people can be accommodated on each journey at once.
