About this experience
Munampu is an eco-tourism center operating under the leadership of the Anjuruli Forest Protection Committee in the Ayyappankovil range of the Kottayam Forest Division. It is accessible via the Kattappana–Kuttikkanam road through a place called Kanchiyar, and from there, a 2-kilometer journey through the road in front of the Kanchiyar Forest Station leads to the Perumkandam area, where the Munampu Eco-tourism Center is located.This area is surrounded by water on three sides.Known as Anjuruli Thuruthu, this location offers a panoramic view of the Idukki Dam’s reservoir, the beautiful sight of water gushing from the Anjuruli tunnel, and a scenic view of the Kalyanathandu hills – all of which make it a unique experience.
Visitors typically combine Munambu with surrounding highlights like Meesapulimala, Idukki Dam, Kalvari Mount, and Cheeyappara Waterfalls.
